Wood Outdoor Care

To ensure your Eden outdoor furniture remains in good condition
and appearance, it is important to establish a regular cleaning and
maintenance programme.

Recoating of your New Zealand made Eden outdoor furniture by Danske Mobler should take place regularly to avoid deterioration of the surface coating of the timber substrate caused by weathering. A patchy, thin, faded and uneven appearance is a clear indication of the need for recoating. If the furniture has high usage and/or is exposed to direct sun or for prolonged periods, you may need to recoat more frequently. If there are deep scratches or worn patches from day-to-day wear, the offending area should be recoated promptly.

Danske Mobler stocks a range of outdoor furniture care products. Please ask in-store for the correct product to use on your furniture

Eden Rosewood Furniture

The Eden outdoor furniture collection in rosewood has a water based natural stain applied and will weather to a silver/grey in 1-2 years if a repeat application of natural stain is not applied. To keep the rosewood colour, apply two coats of Eden Quantum water based oil coating before the wood turns silver/grey and reapply yearly. It is important to read and follow the instructions on the can carefully before using any outdoor timber product.

Accoya® Wood Furniture

The Eden outdoor furniture collection in Accoya® wood has an acrylic paint applied and will remain intact without the need for recoating for at least five years. When you need to recoat, apply acrylic paint suitable for outdoor wood with a brush or roller. Clean the furniture on a yearly basis with 30 Seconds or Exit Mould to remove any yellow pollen, dirt or mould. Some environments will need more frequent cleaning.
